Water Station Volunteers will hand out cups of water, Gatorade and in some locations, bananas, crackers and bagels. The cups should be filled 1/3-1/2 full. Hold the cup in the palm of your hand and hold it out for runners to grab as they run past you. Yell out “water” or “Gatorade” so the runners can decide what they want. If you have food at your station, let the runners know as well. Do not block the path of the runners but stay close enough that they do not have to jump over curbs to get to you. Runners will drop their cups on the ground when they are done, you should rake the cups up and place in trash bags.

Relay Exchange Volunteers will look for the runners with the bright green or bright green race bibs. When you see them, use the megaphone to announce the number on their bibs. This will let their teammates know that their exchange partner has arrived. There will be a table with bottled water and food, this is not for the other runners, just the relay runners. Keep the table stocked and pick up any trash they leave behind. One person should guide the relay runners into the exchange area, one should announce numbers and one should stock the table.

BRING BUG SPRAY AND SPF IF YOU THINK YOU MAY NEED IT.
