COURSE MARSHALS

All Course Marshals will report to Curt Fuszard at the Volunteer Check-In Tent near the Start/Finish Line of the marathon at 7:15 am. Curt will give you your volunteer shirt, safety vest, traffic flag and goody bag. After you receive these items, you should go to your post listed below.

THE VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR IS ERIC. YOU CAN REACH HIM AT (920) 210-8843

THE ASSISTANT VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR IS AMMAR. YOU CAN REACH HIM AT (608) 772-5392

THE COURSE MARSHAL COORDINATOR IS CURT. YOU CAN REACH HIM AT (608) 345-5147

Course Marshals will be located at various intersections on the course that need additional support to keep runners pointed in the right direction and to make vehicles aware of runners. Runners do not stop at stop signs so it is important that the Course Marshals use their safety flags to warn drivers to wait until the runners have passed before proceeding. If you need a bathroom break, you should call Curt, Eric or Ammar and they will send someone to fill your spot while you are gone. All Course Marshals are located less than 3/4 mile from the Start/Finish area.

Runners will approach you going clockwise around the lake. You should see the first runners around 7:50am-10:00am. This is going to be extremely busy and crowded so be ready for a rush of 900 runners. You will then see the relay teams between 9:00am-11:00am. You will receive another rush of 40 runners. After 11:00am, you will get sporadic full marathon runners on their second lap. This will continue until 1:15-1:30pm.
